What Is Salvation?

Salvation: The Biblical Way To Heaven
Bro. Chevi Rickard

The “Romans’ Road” is a series of Bible verses that summarise the key concepts relating to salvation and what is required for you to be saved.

The most important things you should know are that:

  • You are a sinner.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23

  • The penalty of sin is death and hell.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” —Romans 6:23

  • Jesus paid the penalty for your sin on the cross.
“But commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8

  • If you repent of your sins, believe, and receive Jesus Christ, you will be saved.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” —Romans 10:13

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” —Luke 5:32

You can pray the following prayer of faith:
Dear God, I realise I am a sinner and I deserve to be condemned. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to save me. Lord Jesus, I believe that You gave Your life for me on the cross. I believe that You died and rose again for my salvation. I now confess and repent of my sins and I receive You in my heart as my Lord and Saviour. I accept Your gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
